Caruso Engineering serves a wide variety of clients with building structures in the Commercial space. Our services range from condition assessments of existing structures to design of new buildings and appurtenances. We strive to understand each of our commercial clients’ situations, no matter the complexity, and leverage our expertise and experience for the client’s maximum benefit.

Our approach to existing structures is built on the premise that no two structures are exactly alike. As such, we endeavor to understand the nuances of every structure we work on, including history, specific construction techniques and details, current performance, and future needs.  

We also consider that structural performance often extends beyond mere code compliance and minimum strength requirements and can include disaster resilience, vibration resistance, and flexibility for future expansion. Caruso Engineering works with every client to understand these requirements at project start.

Our founder, Christopher Caruso PE, DBIA, is also a designated Design-Build professional registered with the Design-Build Institute of America. He brings hands-on experience with the Design-Build delivery method from both sides of the table (i.e., Owner’s representative and Design-Builder’s engineer).
